You can book a tour of distillery for $25 and that includes tasting! I wish we had more time because we would have definitely done that, however we came in grabbed food over at the bar and Flagship whiskey tasting. It's a very cool, modern spot with great ambience. The food was delicious and needed to soak in all that whiskey tasting. Let's be honest, it was our breakfast:) Husband, a big whiskey enthusiast, got himself a Flagship tasting and enjoyed with his Croque Madame! I enjoyed his fries and my chicken wings! The service was helpful and friendly! We got a shirt at the gift shop, with a hope to come back but ran out of time. Luckily we were able to grab whiskey bottles at the airport or we would have been completely heart broken.

Kristen was our server and had such exemplary customer service. Everything she recommended was delicious. I appreciate that so much when dining somewhere new. The inside of the restaurant is super cute inside. The whiskey Kristen allowed me to sample were very good. I went home with a bottle. For being not from the area, I felt very welcomed. Hospitality here is top notch. Glad we came to experience it!

This gem is located on a corner in Nashville; easy Uber to get there. The building interior is industrial chic, I suppose. Great atmosphere. Our server was friendly, knowledgeable, and attentive. Our Sunday Brunch meals were amazing. I enjoyed a frittata, which was the special of the day. I almost didn't even need dinner because it kept me full all day, on top of it being delicious. My DH had the Elvis pancakes and loved them. We had previously scheduled a distillery tour and asked if we could move it up an hour. We were easily accommodated. Our tour guide, Zach, was fun and truly loves his career. We were guided through the history of Nelson's Green Brier Distillery along with the Whiskey-making process. Again, like at the Ryman Auditorium, another strong, intelligent woman saved the day! My DH enjoyed the whiskey tasting and commented that it's definitely better than Jack Daniel's. Whiskey is not my thing, so I only paid the spectator fee for the tour. This is a fantastic destination and was not crowded on a Sunday morning like many other options around the city. Do yourself a favor, and go!

We went here for brunch, and this did not disappoint. It is upscale food, atmosphere, and outstanding service. While sitting at the table, you can look across the prodigious bar into the distillery area and see what's happening in the back and in the kitchen. The menu was, outstanding, the food beautifully presented, and I really can't recommend this place enough. Don't come here if you're on a diet, but do come here if you need to feed your soul.

We started with a tour and had a great guide! The story of the brand was second to none. Amazing history and told very well. The facility is nice and simple and can definitely see this playing expanding in the future. We are at the restaurant inside and they have some unique options and sometimes all you need is apps. Would love to go back again.

I was part of a large group attending a conference where this was part of the Beer, Bourbon and BBQ Adventure. We were fortunate to get the full tour in addition to a bourbon tasting. Very much worth it and very educational. As being part of the tour, we're also able to get 10% off the gift shop. They're the makers of Belle Mead Reserve Bourbon which won an award several years ago. The tour starts in the room where many old photos, collectibles and a mural timeline shows the history of the distillery along with the revival of the business after nearly 100 years. This distillery is probably 5+ years with many great years ahead. We saw the barrel storage area and the bottling area as well as the main copper still. The bourbon tasting was very good. I learned a lot about sour mash and bourbon. The tour guide was very informative. The bourbons themselves were excellent. Unfortunately they didn't have Belle Mead as one of the samples. We did have the Nelsons Reserve as well as some of their standard bourbons. They were all good and priced well in the gift shop. I didn't want to check a bag when flying home so I couldn't purchase. I did get a nice rain jacket, though. I was told by the gift shop cashier that I could purchase the bourbon at the airport post security. I did exactly that. Makes a great gift as well.

I recently went to Nelson's Green Brier Distillery for Sunday brunch with a group of friends, and it was a fantastic experience! The dining area is spacious with lots of natural light, giving it a warm, casual vibe. It wasn't too loud, and everything was spotless. Our server, Savannah, was amazing. Even with a group of eight, she kept everything running smoothly and made sure our waters were always refilled. We started off with the bourbon mimosas, which were made with local bourbon from the distillery -- perfectly balanced and delicious! For food, I had the avocado toast and my partner had the brisket hash. The brisket hash was phenomenal, and my partner cleaned the plate. The avocado toast was also great, though I should've added some protein. They didn't have chicken or turkey sausage, but Savannah brought out potatoes on the house as a substitute, which was such a thoughtful touch. Parking was easy too. We parked in the gravel lot across the street, where there's free parking, though there's also paid parking nearby. For two drinks and brunch, our total came to about $65 which was reasonable for 2 people, plus the quality and experience. I highly recommend this spot and can't wait to go back -- next time I'll definitely do the distillery tasting tour!

Wow! This place wasn't on my lists of spots to visit on our Nashville vacation but it's the best whiskey I've had in a long time. My wife and I split the Flagship Flight and loved everything on it. My sister had the Whiskey Sour and my parents split the Cold Fashioned. Each of the cocktails was so well balanced and delicious. This was just one stop of a larger tour and I'm sad we didn't get to stay longer because I wanted to sample more. I'm keeping my fingers crossed that we have time to go back before we leave town. I'll add that the service was remarkable the the tasting room/restaurant were just beautiful. While we didn't eat there, the food looked and smell amazing. This is a MUST stop spot. I'm gonna order some when we get back home.

Take the tour! It's the second best part of Nelson's Green Brier Distillery, honestly. My tour guide was engaging, I learned a lot about Tennessee whiskey and bourbon, I got to taste a lot of Tennessee whiskey and bourbon, and I left with a nice t-shirt that I bought at the gift shop. The first-best part of Nelson's is the food. As much as I love whiskey and bourbon, I love a great meal slightly more, and you can get a great meal here at the restaurant inside the distillery. I visited with a group, so we got a few different things: Deviled eggs: amazing, as all deviled eggs are. I've yet to eat a bad deviled egg, ever. These are great. Bavarian soft pretzel: This was just fine. It comes with pimento cheese and whiskey mustard on the side. Distiller's Board: this is a charcuterie board with cheese, fruits, crackers, cured meats, pickles and candied nuts. I could have picked off this board with a Cold Old Fashioned (a frosty whiskey drink my friend got that I tasted), and I would have been exceedingly happy. For my main, I got the carnitas tacos, which came with pickled red onion, crema and cilantro. They are huge! I would recommend splitting this entree with another person, because after the first taco, I was well acquainted with the tastes and flavors, and the second and third tacos were just more of the same. If I had to do it all over again, I would have ordered the salmon croquettes, which I'm not seeing on the online menu, but they were on the menu when we visited. They are basically balls of salmon and herbs fried and served with tartar sauce and a wedge of lemon. Yum yum yum -- I'm still thinking about these balls of fish. They were perfectly crispy yet chewy. My favorite combination. The restaurant in the distillery is bright and airy, with high ceilings and lots of windows. You almost feel like you're sitting in a fancy barn or something. The tables are set with cloth napkins and earthen-colored flatware -- with pothos placed delicately in glass jars as table centerpiece -- so there's a simple, natural vibe going on here. The restaurant is nice but unpretentious. It's a must-stop before or after you do your whiskey tasting.
